Rosie-Anne is a Psychotherapist / Counsellor at The London Children’s Practice. Rosie obtained her degree in Drama with English Literature at Edge Hill University before her MSc Psychotherapy & Counselling – Contemporary Creative Approaches at Edge Hill University. Currently, Rosie-Anne works primarily with children and young people and is a registered member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy

Rosie has therapeutic experience with young people and their families in a variety of settings, more prominently in Residential Childcare and with Care Leavers, supporting young people and their families with complex trauma, neurodiversity, attachment and mental health difficulties.

Rosie’s approach is a person-centred, integrative, creative psychotherapy while considering neurodevelopment and the nervous system. It is Rosie’s belief that empathy, empowerment, relationship and creativity are key to healing through any therapeutic journey.

Recently, Rosie has delivered training for supporting staff on trauma-informed approaches to behaviour management, as well as delivering training for other therapists on working with Care Leavers.

Rosie has a specialist interest in Trauma and Neurodevelopment, particularly for children in care and their supporting adults. Rosie is aiming to specialise in this in the near future.

Rosie is has training and qualifications in the following: MSc Psychotherapy & Counselling – Contemporary Creative Approaches, NVQ Residential Childcare (Level 3), Understanding Autism (Level 2), TQUK Behaviour that Challenges (Level 2) as well as having additional training in Child Psychology, Play Therapy, Mental Health First Aid, Shame, Dissociation & DID, SafeTALK – suicide awareness, ACEs & Early Trauma.

Outside of work Rosie volunteers weekly with both Manchester Mind, delivering remote counselling sessions to adults, and Therapy Dogs Nationwide, where Rosie visits an adult mental health facility with her dog, Bellatrix. Rosie also spends her time dog-walking, practicing aerial-arts and with friends and family.
