Assistant Speech and Language Therapist

Natalie is a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant at The London Children’s Practice. Natalie obtained her Philosophy Degree at University College London, with a focus on Meaning & Interpretation and Language. Natalie has also obtained a Level 3 Award in Supporting Learners with Specific Learning Difficulties, where she received training in learning techniques for improving phonological awareness.

Before joining The London Children’s Practice, Natalie worked as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, with experience in supporting students with complex needs, as well as students with specific learning difficulties (such as ADHD) and ASC. Natalie has experience running interventions with children using specialised techniques such as Blanks, Lego Therapy, Colourful Semantics and Makaton to help children improve their social communication, expressive language and oral language comprehension skills.

Natalie has a special interest in Autism Spectrum Conditions, Developmental Language Disorder and stammering. Natalie believes that Speech and Language Therapy can provide life changing treatment for children and their families, and so aspires to qualify as a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist .

Outside of work, Natalie enjoys bouldering, dancing and discovering new restaurants in London.
