Melanie is a speech therapist at The London Children’s Practice. Melanie obtained her BSc in Speech and Language Therapy at Queen Margaret University. Currently, Melanie works primarily with secondary school children with expressive and receptive language difficulties.
Melanie has experience with learning disabilities and autism spectrum conditions. She also does school-based assessments such as the CELF-4 and CELF-5.
Melanie has a special interest in autism spectrum conditions and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), which she is hoping to develop in.
Melanie is trained in Signalong and Talking Mats at Foundation level and also has some experience in Hanen and PECS.
Melanie is a registered member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and is also registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
Melanie also speaks German.
Outside of work, Melanie enjoys visiting museums, drawing and writing, reading, and spending time with friends either at home or trying a new activity.
