Therapy Assistant Sessions

Age Range: 1-25 years

Designed for: Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Educational Psychology & Assistant Psychology, Families

We have a variety of experienced Assistants that effectively provide intervention packages set by a qualified therapist. The therapist initially develops the intervention plan and then provides ongoing supervision for the duration of therapy. This is a cost-effective and high frequency way of supporting therapeutic goals.

Our Assistants have varying backgrounds, including those in the process of completing their degrees to become qualified therapists.

Therapy Assistant sessions can involve:

  • Specialist, targeted and universal measures
  • Pupil & classroom observation
  • Individual therapy sessions
  • Group therapy sessions
  • In-class support
  • Classroom strategies and modelling
  • Timely case notes and documentation

The Assessment Process

Step 1

The clinicians will initially collect and review information form the educational setting as well as any further paperwork.

Step 2

Following this there will be two appointments, a parent/carer interview and an assessment with the child or young person being assessed.

Step 3

The clinicians will provide feedback and where appropriate provide a diagnosis.
