Paediatrician Assessments

Age Range: 0-5 years

Designed for: Families

These assessments are carried out by our Neuro-Developmental Paediatrician, Dr Ko. He is a broadly experienced Paediatrician who has worked with LCP for many years. Dr Ko is devoted to supporting our families and ensuring that they leave their appointments with a clear understanding of where to next.

Dr Ko provides a holistic assessment of a child’s development including gross motor, fine motor, speech and language, and social skills development. This is done by taking a history from the child’s parents and undertaking standardised developmental assessments.  A medical examination is conducted to assess any underlying medical conditions present.

A report, including recommendations is provided after each assessment.

Paediatrician Assessments can look at:

  • Gross motor skills
  • Fine motor skills
  • Speech and language
  • Social skills
  • Autism Spectrum Condition
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder
  • Learning delays

The Assessment Process

Step 1

Referral and collation of information to inform the assessment

Step 2

Paediatrician completes their assessment and identification of young persons needs. If an Autism assessment is being completed, this will be done as 3 separate appointments on the day.

Step 3

Paediatrician will provide feedback along with a written report detailing their findings and next steps.
