School-based therapy is one of the most effective ways of working with children and young people. Our therapists provide therapy in school where they deliver specialist interventions directly with the young person, whilst working collaboratively with the SENCo and the wider school team.

The therapist provides universal support within school which facilitates the generalisation of new skills within the child’s environment. A key part of this includes up-skilling the school team in their knowledge through bespoke training that enables whole school approaches and the delivery of specific strategies detailed in Education, Health and Care Plans.

School Therapy Intervention Packages can include:

  • Therapist working onsite and within the school team
  • Specialist direct therapy sessions
  • Targeted group intervention
  • Universal whole school approaches working to support the whole school design for learning
  • Assessment and screenings with reports, consultation and feedback
  • Enhanced dynamic approach for SEN schools
  • Bespoke training for schools staff
  • Training and support for parents
  • Provide by OT, SaLT, EP and Assistants
