
Lauren Somerville
Lauren is an Occupational Therapist at The London Children’s Practice. Lauren obtained her MSc in Occupational Therapy at Oxford Brookes University.
Lauren has experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, complex trauma and cerebral palsy through her previous job as a foster carer in rural South Africa where she supported them in developing self-care, social and emotional skills, alongside academic development. As part of her studies, she gained experience in adult community mental health, community and inpatient neuro-rehabilitation, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and Children’s Community Integrated Therapies. Lauren has gained experience in delivering the Movement ABC-2, handwriting assessments and has experience working with a variety of children with a multitude of different strengths and backgrounds.
Lauren is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and a member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists, including Children, Young People and Families Specialist Sections.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys being outside and exploring the wonders London has to offer. When not out exploring, Lauren enjoys spending time in coffee shops, reading and spending time with friends.
