After completing this introductory package, ongoing session rates vary based on session length, starting from £65 for 30-minute sessions.

If needed, we can also provide a report for your child’s school or for other professional purposes. This report is available at any time during your child’s ongoing therapy for an additional fee.

Here's how it works

Initial Session

This 45-minute assessment session with your child or young person allows the therapist to gain a clear understanding of your child’s needs, using a combination of assessment tools to identify key concerns and recommend tailored intervention strategies.

Follow Up

In this follow-up 45-minute session, the therapist will meet with parents to provide detailed feedback and continue working directly with the child. During this session, the therapist will identify targets for therapy, outline how these targets can be achieved, and recommend a timeframe for therapy sessions.

Ongoing Sessions

Once we have clarity on the ongoing intervention plan, regular sessions can begin to support your child’s progress. Session durations may be 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 1 hour, and can be scheduled weekly or biweekly, depending on your therapist’s recommendations and your child’s unique needs.

FAQs

Do I have to live in London?

No, we are happy to see children, young people and their families from across the UK and internationally for online sessions. For face to face sessions you would need to attend our Sloane Square clinic.

How do I know if my child needs therapy?

If you notice ongoing challenges in areas like behaviour, learning, social interaction, speech, or emotional regulation, an assessment can help clarify their needs and determine if therapy could be beneficial.

What ages do you work with?

We support children and young people across a broad age range, from early childhood through to age 25 and beyond. Our services are tailored to the unique developmental needs of each age group.

Are your therapists qualified and experienced?

Our team consists of qualified, licensed professionals with extensive experience working with children and young people across multiple disciplines, including psychology, speech therapy, and occupational therapy.

Do you offer online sessions?

Yes we offer sessions face to face or online. Sometimes a combination of both is a great way to reduce the time that your child has to travel, especially in their busy weeks.  You may want to bring your child in for face-to-face sessions during the school holidays as this is a great way of touching base with your therapist.

Will my insurer cover the cost of the assessment/sessions?

Insurance companies have many different requirements and it is best to check what your individual companies plan is and we can determine if we can provide sufficient evidence for your insurer.

Our Approach

Multidisciplinary Expertise, Focused on Your Child’s Unique Needs

London Children’s Practice (LCP) is a thriving multidisciplinary practice with a central clinic in Sloane Square, London. We have been providing services to children, young people and families for over 15 years.

Our team of experienced specialists works collaboratively to assess and support children and young people. We understand that each child is unique, which is why we offer a wide range of services that look at the full picture—from emotional well-being and behaviour to learning and development.

At LCP, we recognise that parents and young people often need help to assess what sort of therapy will be most beneficial before starting on a set of sessions. To support this philosophy we have developed an ‘introductory package’ which combines an assessment as part of the overall framework.
