International services

The London Children’s Practice provides an international service in which a therapist or multi-disciplinary team will travel to your home or school in most places around the world. Most recently, we have provided such services to families in Moscow, Cairo, Amman, Mumbai, Delhi, and Dubai.

In June 2010 Jackie Harland and her team visited Abu Dhabi to provide speech and language and occupational assessments to children whose parents had some concerns.  It is hoped that we shall be returning in September or October 2010.  Please do not hesitate to contact Pippa at pippa.western@londonchildrenspractice.com or call her on 07540 688 114 for more information or to make a booking.

Our international service has proved to be a popular choice for parents living in countries where services for children with special needs may not be particularly well developed, or for expatriate families keen to maintain appropriate support for their child while abroad.

Our therapists ensure that each child’s needs are managed in a holistic manner. Anyone subsequently involved with your child after our visit will receive the necessary and appropriate training, detailed intervention programmes and strategies to fully support your child.

Thereafter we will support you via telephone and email communication and will plan to re-visit on a regular basis to review your child’s progress, re-assess the programmes and targets, and provide additional support as required.

LCP International is a flexible service dedicated to the exacting needs of your child.

  • Assessment and diagnosis
  • Provision of home/school programmes and subsequent monitoring
  • Training packages for parents and the school staff who work with the child
  • Intensive therapy sessions
  • Liaising with schools, health professionals and local education authorities
  • Input into Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Strategies to support speech and language  development on a day-to-day basis

Testimonial

Our daughter Aleisha has been attending The London Children’s Practice for the past 4 years. The progress she’s made in 6 weeks here is equivalent to 6 months progress back at home in India. We are extremely happy with the work that The London Children’s Practice is doing and how they perfectly co-ordinate with our schedules when we visit from home.

The therapists and education specialists are absolutely excellent and Aleisha looks forward to, and really enjoys the sessions. Because of the progress that she is making, I have really seen a huge difference in her academic performance.

We have now recommended The London Children’s Practice to 5 other parents and their children, and I know that they too are extremely pleased with their children’s progress and the service The London Children’s Practice offers.
