Tanvi Kamat

Assistant Psychologist

Tanvi is an Assistant Psychologist at The London Children’s Practice. Tanvi completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology (BSc) at Madras School of Social Work, Chennai, India. Recently, she has obtained a Master’s in Mental Health in Children and Young People (MSc) from The University of Edinburgh.

Currently, Tanvi works with children and young people in schools across East Sussex to provide initial clinical assessments, screenings, and interventions for children with a range of needs. She has experience working with young persons with Neuro-Developmental and Social, Emotional, Mental Health needs. She has worked with them in settings such as after school clubs, nurseries, holiday programmes and music groups. Additionally, Tanvi has collaborated on a project to develop mental health resources designed to support families in South Africa. She has received training in Foetal-Mental Health and Observation; Safeguarding Children; Positive Psychology; Introduction to Applied Behaviour Analysis; and Paediatric First Aid.

Tanvi is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society. Outside of work she enjoys singing, teaching music, travelling, and working out. She is multilingual and speaks English, Tamil, Konkani and Hindi.
