Lana Loubser

Assistant Speech and Language Therapist

Lana obtained her Honours Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology from the University of Pretoria in 1991.  She has 30 years’ experience as a speech and language therapist in South Africa and has recently moved to the UK.  While she awaits for her HCPC registration, she’s employed as a Speech and Language Assistant.

Currently Lana works with paediatric clients in clinics, nurseries and primary schools. She has extensive experience in working with early years and primary school aged children within mainstream schools and Special Educational Needs settings, as well as in private practice. Lana has supported children with varied speech, language and communication needs, as well as children with special educational needs. In her capacity as speech and language therapist in South Africa, she provided both school based and private assessments and intervention. She values the role that parents and family members play in the development/remediation of their children’s communication abilities and enjoys working shoulder to shoulder with them as part of the multi-disciplinary team.

Lana passionately believes in being proactive and is therefore an eager and experienced provider of training at INSET days in schools on a broad range of speech, language, and communication-related topics.

In her spare time Lana is an enthusiastic cook, enjoys all activities related to nature and likes nothing more than spending time with her family at home with a cat curled up on her lap.
