Elena Carey

Assistant Psychologist

Elena is an Assistant Psychologist at the London Children’s Practice, she obtained her Bachelors Degree with Honours, Early Childhood and Psychology, at Liverpool hope university. Elena also obtained a Masters in Developmental Sciences at Birkbeck University of London. Elena has experience working with children, adolescents and young adults in schools, mental health hospital and nursery settings. She has worked with children and young people with Neuro-developmental, Social, Emotional and Mental Health, Speech, Language and Communication and Physical and Sensory needs. Elena has provided school based assessments and consults with multi/inter disciplinary professionals. Elena has delivered interventions tailored towards developing Emotional literacy and Social Communication and Interaction. She is aiming to specialise in Educational Psychology with an emphasis on the social model and fostering inclusive practice for all. Elena has shown interest in the Neurodiversity Movement and promotes a child/person centred approach. She has been trained in Non Abusive Psychological and Physical Interventions and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Elena is a registered graduate member of the British Psychological Society. Outside of work, Elena enjoys travelling, hiking and reading.
