Christa Schutz

Occupational Therapist

Christa is an Occupational Therapist at The London Children’s Practice. Christa obtained her Bachelors in Occupational Therapy at the University of Pretoria in South Africa. Currently, Christa works primarily with children with learning disorders, autism and sensory processing difficulties.

Christa has experience in both adult and paediatric rehabilitation in hospital and school settings. Her experience includes treating a variety of diagnosis including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, sensory processing disorder, brain injuries and orthopaedic injuries. Christa has experience in various assessment tools including the Ayre’s Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT) and various school based assessments. She has participated in various group caregiver training sessions with parents to equip them with homebased care for children with disabilities. 

Christa has a special interest in Sensory Integration and has completed her Ayre’s Sensory Integration specialization through the South African Institute of Sensory Integration (SAISI). 

Christa is registered as an Occupational Therapist at the Health Professionals Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). 

Christa also speaks German. Outside of work Christa enjoys being outdoors as often as she can and loves running and swimming. She enjoys watercolour painting and reading to relax on the weekend.
