The London Children’s Practice is a needs-led clinic which can

  • Provide a thorough and complete multi-disciplinary assessment of your child’s needs.
  • Design a full and inclusive ‘tailor-made’ programme, including all necessary treatment and therapy, that may include educational tutoring.
  • Provide specific, intensive periods of time to suit the child and the family’s needs.

We constantly ask ourselves, ‘How and what do we need to do to support your child in every way possible to maximise his or her potential?’

We can also provide regular telephone and/or email consultations between appointments and a thorough follow-up programme for families to continue with their child at home.

Special Educational Needs, Tribunals and Legal Work

The London Children’s Practice provides a wide range of services related to tribunals and legal work, including expert witness opinion and evidence. These include –

  • Specialist joint and multi-disciplinary assessments
  • Preparation of statement reports
  • Attendance at tribunals
  • Tribunal reports
  • Conferences and court hearings
  • Expert advice and consultation

Consultations

The Practice offers consultations with parents, guardians, health professionals, members of the legal profession and schools, always striving to adopt a pro-active, problem-solving, child-centric approach. Areas for consultation include –

  • General advice and discussion
  • Learning issues
  • Behaviour and social issues
  • Supporting parents and the extended family
  • Attendance at school reviews, parent’s evenings, etc

We are also well placed to offer advice on the most appropriate school for your child’s particular needs.

School services

The Practice currently works with more than 40 of London’s finest schools and nurseries. We offer a comprehensive range of consultative services to both independent and local authority schools and nurseries including –

  • Discussion and advice with staff, TAs, and SENCOs for individuals, class and/or whole school issues
  • Attendance at meetings with parents and other professionals
  • Observation – in the classroom or individually
  • School-based individual assessments
  • Assistance with IEP’s and Statements
  • Advice on strategic development in relation to specific departments or whole school development plan
  • School-based training workshops, seminars and inset sessions
